Daniel's fascination with medicine started in 1998 when he began a course in life sciences and health studies at Stockport College of Further and Higher Education. On successful completion he accepted a place at Manchester University to continue his studies in Human Physiology.

After suffering a painful knee injury a friend suggested acupuncture. During his first appointment the treatment gave immediate pain relief and increased mobility. After further treatments the effects were greater and lasted longer.

As a result of this Daniel became interested in acupuncture and started researching it alongside his studies at Manchester. Finally after completion of year one the fascination led him to transfer to a three-year degree programme in Traditional Chinese Medicine (Acupuncture).

After graduating in the summer of 2003 from Salford University with a BSc (Hons) in Traditional Chinese Medicine (Acupuncture) Daniel became eligible for membership of the British Acupuncture Council (MBAcC). The BAcC is the largest governing body that represents professional acupuncturists.

Obtaining membership of the BAcC guarantees the successful completion of extensive training in traditional acupuncture of three years plus, including the requisite biomedical sciences appropriate to the practice of acupuncture.

Members of the BAcC are bound by strict Codes of Practice, Ethics and Disciplinary Procedures. These codes ensure that each patient is offered the highest standards of professional care during their acupuncture treatment.

Due to the dynamism acupuncture has to offer Daniel continues to enjoy the practice of this profession and continues to research and promote its clinical application. Daniel’s research paper titled Bioelectromagnetism of the Human Body has been published in The European Journal of Oriental Medicine (ejom). This research focused on exploring the mechanics of acupuncture, which can be viewed by clicking the link on our contact page.

Daniel has been in private practice since 2003 and keeps up-to-date with continuing professional development by attending post graduate studies and trainings.
